Introduction
We are Article 5 Consulting and we are the Controllers of your personal data, you can contact us at hello@article5consulting.com. This Privacy Notice will tell you about the personal information we collect about you what we do with it.

Whose personal data we process
We process the data of the following types of individuals
  • Site Visitors – Individuals who have interacted with us on our websiteblog or social media pages.
  • Potential customers – Individuals who have contacted us, or interacted with us, to enquire about our products and services.
  • Customers – Individuals who have entered into an agreement for us to provide services to their organisation.
  • Suppliers – Contacts at organisations who supply us with products and services.
  • Event Attendees – Individuals who sign up to and attend our webinars and events.

Personal data we collect
We collect the following information about Site Visitors, Potential Customers, Customers, Event Attendees and Suppliers:
  • Title, name, and surname.
  • Contact details, including telephone numbers and address details.
  • Job titles, as well as information on role and responsibilities in an organisation.
  • Information relating to their organisation and enquiry.
  • Event/Meeting video and audio recordings where users have agreed to such recording taking place.
  • Records of feedback you have provided.
  • Comments on our blogs and social media pages.
  • Your photo when you have agreed for us to use them on our site or marketing literature.
  • Information about meetings held.
  • Information about services provided.
  • Payment details.
We do not process any special categories of data.

We source this data directly from you or your business.

Why we use personal data and the lawful basis for processing.

    Sharing of personal information

    We will share personal information with data processors who supply services to help manage our business infrastructure, IT and Operations. We may also share your data if there is a legal obligation.


    Transfers of personal information abroad

    We will aim to process and store all personal information in the EU and UK, because these countries have regulations which require organisations to manage your personal information carefully. In the event that we engage with a supplier who needs to transfer the data to a country that does not offer the same level of protection as the UK and EU, we will ensure EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or UK International Transfers Agreements are  implemented as a safeguard, with supplementary measures where necessary.


    Data retention

    We will retain your data as follows:

    • Site visitors/potential customers – 6 months after your last engagement with us.
    • Customers – 6 years after the contract ends.
    • Suppliers – 6 Years after the contract ends.
    • Event attendees – 3 months after you attended an event.


    Data Subject Rights

    You have the following rights under data protection regulations:

    • To access and obtain a copy of your personal information.
    • To be informed about what data is being processed and why.
    • To request that your data is deleted.
    • To request that your data is rectified when out of date or incorrect.
    • To restrict the processing which may take place.
    • To object to processing.
    • To object to marketing.
    • To ask us to send you (or an organisation of your choice) a copy of your data in machine readable format.
    • To complain to a data protection regulator if you aren’t happy with our use or management of your personal data.
    • To challenge automated decision making and request human intervention. Note that Article 5 Consulting does not undertake automated decision making.


    If you want to exercise one of these rights, please email privacy@article5consulting.com. We will acknowledge your request within 5 working days and complete it within 30 days.


    Please be aware that not all rights are absolute, there may be cases where cannot allow you to exercise a right, in which case we will give you a thorough explanation.


    Marketing

    We will only market to you when you have approached us or there has been an interaction with our business. If you wish to opt-out of marketing, please email Privacy@article5consulting.com and we will immediately cease contact for marketing purposes.


    Complaints

    If you would like to make a complaint about how we have treated your personal information, please contact privacy@article5consulting.com.


    If we do not resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you have the right to complain to the data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk.
